The Republic of Texas boundary marker The United States Boundary marker

One of our chapter members, Martha Martin, made a trip to this last remaining boundary marker between The Republic of Texas and the United States. She shares these photos with us. The site is located 23 miles southeast of Carthage, Texas. The granite marker is dated 1840; it was set on April 23,1841. It is the only marker of international boundary known to exist in the continental United States.
